WELCOME to the L3L domain! LEVEL THREE LEADERSHIP refers to three levels of human behavior. Level 1 is visible behavior what you can capture on film, the things people say and do. Level 2 is Conscious Thought. We think, we know we think, and we choose not to reveal all we think at L1. Sometimes there are “leaks” from L2 to L1 in a sigh, a frown, or a shrug. Level 3 refers to our semi-conscious Values, Assumptions, Beliefs, and Expectations about the way the world is or should be. (VABEs for short) Solid research (Daniel Kahneman) shows that most people trust their VABEs OVER reliable evidence–hence the perpetuation of the world’s religions and tribal cultures–and the importance of leading/working at Level 3. This site summarizes my life’s work investigating how people lead most effectively, how people find career success, and the nature of the world. In the end, VABEs have been the basis for almost all human decisions.
